I'm Björn, photographic artist originally from NY. I began making photographs in my teens at Allen Ginsberg's Farm, during the Harmonic Convergence -Summer of 1987. Since then I've been searching with the camera for something that lies deeper between birth & death.

Photographers like: Lagerfeld, Beaton, Newton, Stieglitz, Avedon, Bailey, & Bassman have influenced my early work. My interests are anything uncommon, daring, playful, different, imaginative, & impractical, but never ordinary.

I use both film & digital, which all depends on the desired look & feel I want to achieve. I also create short impressionistic films (motion pictures) in digital & 16mm. I'm particularly interested in working with others who demand & seek excellence in all things.

When creating photographs I always try to leave enough wild space, to allow for the profound or magical to occur. "The image is the work/the play/the purpose & the exploration." - Björn
